Melagrani farm and farmhouse is a family-run business with a long tradition in organic farming and it’s strongly proud of it.
The farmhouse is located on the hills between Umbria and Tuscany, in the territory of Lake Trasimeno.
Melagrani farmhouse is ideally situated for touring both Tuscany and Umbria and exploring their nature and arts, coming back within the day. Great art cities such as Siena, Arezzo, Firenze, Roma, Perugia…. are also at hand, both by car or by train.
If you wish, you can take part in the seasonal work of the farm, learn about how farm produce are cultivated and how to cook our organic foods and savour our organic and local cuisine at our restaurant.
Our farm products are exclusively organic:
cereals (spelt, barley and millet),
vegetables,
extra virgin olive oil, sunflower oil,
various types of fruit that you can enjoy fresh or preserved as the seasons allow,
and Lake Trasimeno bean.
Trasimento Lake bean is in the list of agricultural produce particular to Umbria and is a slow food Presidium.
Melagrani Farm sells its organic farm foods directly to the consumer – both individuals and buying groups – as well as to restaurants and shops of local goods.
